Using Server Parameters and Options

Server parameters and options are useful for a few purposes:

• Setting security and other options for your account on the server
• Storing passwords or API keys on the server that should not be displayed on the client, e.g. a Web Service password or key
• Saving application parameters on the server

To set server options, select Server Options from the Data menu.

Select the option you need to change, and change the value.

Server Parameters

To add server parameters, add the key and value in the fields under Customer Property.  Then click add to add the new parameters.

The new server parameter is displayed at the bottom of the form.

These parameters can then be accessed as $key in parameters of web service datasources, where key is the key name you specified for the parameter.
