Each account holder of the Data
Mashups service gets a portal, that serves as a personalized portal or
start page for
each visitor to that portal page. This allows your users to get a
personal portal page they can customize to their preference. The
personalization available to these users is based on the applications
and content you enable on the portal.
The portal is an enterprise start page using similar technology used on
Internet start pages. The main difference is Data Mashusp enables
enterprise-specific versions of these start pages, customized to your
enterprise.
The portal can integrate a wide variety of applications and
content. Any HTML page accessible from the users browser can be
integrated. Any HTML snippet or Javascript snippet can be
integrated into the portal as well. In addition, all the mashup
applications and any page from these applications can be integrated
into the portal. All of these can be made available to your
users, either added by default, or added by the user simply by
selecting the option.
The portal offered by data Mashups is designed to be flexible and
easily extensible. You may offer the users a choice of adding
their own content if they so desire.
