Data Mashups Service Overview

Data Mashups is an online service for small enterprises and workgroups. It provides:

  • personalized portals (enterprise start pages)
  • custom, composite business views and applications
These portals, views and applications combine data and screens from many sources
  • enterprise data (e.g. from your Excel spreadsheets),
  • web services (e.g. Salesforce.com, Amazon or Google web services),
  • web widgets (e.g. Google or Yahoo maps and gadgets),
  • and other web applications (e.g. Zoho Writer).

Enterprises can use the service to rapidly provide mashup applications and a personalized mashup portal to their customers and employees.  These applications may be imported, customized, or developed using the online mashup builder (AppliBuilder), and then used on your Mashup portal, or any of your other internal or external web sites. 

To setup and provide your users with personalized portals and views knowledge of web development is not required. This includes import and deployment from a set of existing applications.  To build or edit an application in the builder, you will need a basic knowledge of web application development.  To import and deliver existing applications, and offer a personalized portal, you will not need any knowledge of web development.

For larger enterprises that prefer to have this service hosted inside the firewall, Applibase offers an Integration Server with the same functionality.  Please contact Applibase for more information.

Note:  The current release is a beta version of the Data Mashups service.  A number of features are being added and evolved on a frequent basis.

Service Usage

The Data Mashups service is offered by Applibase as a permanent site for small enterprises and developers to create, use and offer their users mashups applications.  Application developers can sign up and use the service, which will be offered in free and premium versions.
