Anonymous versus Authenticated Users
A visitor may use the portal page
with or without logging in. For unauthenticated users, i..e they
do not log in, any changes they make to the portal will not be
saved. They will see the same initial window configuration on
each visit.
Changes made by Authenticated users will be saved, and they will get
the same set of windows, as well the same postion and size, as
when they last used the portal.
Registration
Your portal and all your
applications that require
authentication share a
single sign-on, so that a registered user of any application is
automatically registered for the portal, and vice versa.
User registration is enabled on your portal page and any application
pages that require authentication. There are three models of user
registration:
Any user with no verification
required
Any user with valid email,
which is verified by sending an email that must be received to activate
the account
Users with valid emails in a
particular domain
You can manage user registration
setup from the Settings page. To get top the Settings page, go to
your
portal page as the account holder and
click the Settings button.
Managing Users
Information on your users is stored
in the Users table of your database. The data can be browsed to
provide visibility into the registered users across all applications
