Screenshots
Mashup Portal
As a Data Mashups service
account holder, you can provide your users with a personalized
portal. Each visitor to your service home page can create a
personalized portal with content you make available.
This portal screenshot illustrates an employee portal, and shows how a
user may combine internal application information sources with external
sources.
The internal sources in this case are a Salesforce.com dashboard and a
dashboard from the Issue Tracker application.
The external sources include web widgets, e.g. Yahoo Finance or weather
widget, and RSS Feeds. Any number of web widgets and applications
can be made available for easy access.

Online Mashup Builder
The Data Mashups service
provides a visual mashup builder (AppliBuilder) directly in your
browser. You can login to the service and build mashup
applications from web widgets, SOAP and REST web services, and your own
dedicated database provided by the Data Mashups service.
You may copy featured applications, or clone other existing
applications to get a jump start on building your applications.
These applications may then be edited and enhanced as needed.
Your applications are hosted on the portal when they are
published. You may create dashboard views and other application
pages specifically for the portal.
In this screenshot, a few of the available widgets are added to a page
and the property form of the Table widget is shown.

Mashup Application Example
One of the featured
applications is an Issue Tracking application we call OnTrack.
This is a useful application for any team that needs to track bugs and
other issues. You may copy and use this application at any time.
This application is an example of using mashups to enhance your
applications. In this case, the application uses the Google SOAP
API for web search, and allows searching and recording the results of
searches in the Issue Tracking system. Often one can find
relevant information on issues by searching the web, and this mashup
makes it easier to directly record the useful pages found. Note:You
will need to obtain an API key from Google
to use this feature.
In this screenshot, one of the useful results of a search is shown
being added to the comment field of an issue in the OnTrack application.

WSDL/SOAP Wizard
Web services are a
critical element in addressing the integration needs in many
enterprises. And a number of useful SOAP web services are
available on the web for use by enterprise applications.
To simplify SOAP web service integration, and mashing up of web
services with your web applications, we provide a wizard to make it
easier to interact with SOAP web services. This uses the WSDL of
the web service to offer point-and-click integration of web service
data in your application.
This screenshot shows the operation of the wizard with the Google
Search API, using the WSDL provided by Google. It loads the WSDL
and lets the user select the operation, set input values or parameters,
and pick the output format and data to be returned by the web service
request.
With the Wizard the user does not need to be aware of the details of
the SOAP web service, and can focus on getting the data required, or
invoking the required actions, on the service.
